Where the Tracks End..

Learned a few more things this time-

  1. Snow Shoes-
  2. If your sleeping bag is rated for 15F and your stove is rated for 0F and your fuel is rated for 11F- it still takes 30min to make coffee in the morning.
  3. At 0F, you can sleep face down in your sleeping bag hood, and probably not die.
  4. In 3′ of snow, you have to dig a very large hole for your tent.
  5. Always scout a secondary campsite- your primary site, which is quiet and secluded in the summer, may be on a snowmobile highway in the winter.
